WanderingWest is a site showing the work of part-time photographer and full time wanderer Robert Mahon. I am a geologist by trade (finishing my Ph.D. at the University of Wyoming) and spend much of my time traveling throughout the west for work and play. I have been passionate about photography since I was 14 and am still growing and learning new techniques every day.
I shoot primarily with a Nikon D600 at the moment as well as a Zenza Bronica S2A 6×6 medium format film camera. I also have a selection of older Olympus OM-1 and OM-2 cameras (with several tens of lenses - the cameras I learned to shoot with) as well as several Russian Leica and Contax knock-offs which I use very occasionally.
